Question by Haylie06: for anyone who knows the divorce law or have been through this themselves? if you get married in michigan but divorce in ohio and only one pays for their lawyer the other has not paid his attorney are they still legally divorced?? alright all i needed to know thank you soo much Best answer:

Have you been to court and the judge signed the divorce decree? If so, then yes, you are legally divorced. It doesn't matter where you got married, where you got divorced, or who has (or has not) paid the lawyer.
