Power of Attorney how does it works in the state of Florida!?

Question by : Power of Attorney how does it works in the state of Florida!? I know someone who is getting a divorce, but has a car under the persons name that's in jail but no name what so ever of the spouse, if he/she signs Power of attorney from a police station can he/she girlfriend/boyfriend get the car, instead of the spouse, in the state of Florida? My friend tried to use the power of attorney for the bank and they told him/her that it wasn't* accpetable because they're isn't 2 witnesses. What should he/she do, can she/he still get the car? Note*** The Power of Attorney from the police station has only he/she info no 2 witness signatures. What if the he/she that he is divorcing wont give the car to the person who has power of attorney that's only under the inmates name and not the spouses. Best answer:

well my POA only has my sons signature and my name plus the lady that witnessed it, I think the sticky part of your story is that until the divorce is final then the goods are seen as joint property and that does not mean him and the gf.............Is the car in joint names?? ie the person and the spouse as co owners???
