For Florida - Should Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) be included in calculating total income for child support

Question by Roger S: For Florida - Should Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) be included in calculating total income for child support During a divorce, income is calculated for the purpose of determining proper child support payment. I would like to know if Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) for a person employed by the US Department of Defense should be calculated by the court in FLORIDA or is it exempt from this calculation. I am getting many people saying it cannot be included, but an attorney from Florida I spoke with says that it has to be included because it lowers cost of living expenses. If you know the answer to this please respond and cite FLORIDA court cases where one party was receiving LQA benefits, and the court did NOT include the LQA when calculating the rate of child support. I need some advice from someone with REAL experience NOT just your personal opinion of how it should be. Please note (for those who think the wife should take all she can) even without the added LQA benefits, the children are already very well taken care of in this divorce. With all due respect, if you can't answer my question properly, please don't answer at all. I didn't ask if child support issues too into account expenses or not or who has rights. I asked if LQA money for the purpose of calculating child support is included or not. Also, please don't just copy and paste a long list of web sites that are not directly related to my question. You wasted my time because I actually thought someone might have given a good answer. Here is another example of a time when quality (one who gives a good answer) is better that quantity (top contributor). Also, if you answer, please let me know what qualifies you to speak with authority on this issue. Thank you. Correction: Confusing sentence above should read: "I didn't ask if child support issues take into account expenses or not or who has rights." Best answer:

they dont calculate expenses, just incomes and number to child(ren) on that case. if expenses were calculated, there would be higher child support payments. --there are no "fathers rights" in child support --there are no "mothers rights" in child support --there are ONLY the "childs rights" thats it. their needs comes before ALL of us, period.
