Question by frustratedfatherof2: Am in a custody battle with wife over 2 boys, 12 & 13. Mental health is at issue. Any advice / experience? Family members have tried for years to talk her into getting counseling. Always refused to go because her problems are always "someone else's fault". Possible bi-polar or personality disorder? In the middle of the family moving from NC to OH, she disappeared with the boys, claimed abuse and recieved an ex parte order for domestic violence so she could hide. After almost a year I found them with the help of a sympathetic NC social services employee (against their rules to tell). Living in welfare housing in xxxtra bad area despite the fact we have two houses. My attorney filed a custody action to get the boys back to our home in OH with me. Don't believe in divorce, just want family back together and wife to get the help she needs, although divorce may be imminent. Married 17+ years and holding the situation together for a long time. No med/psych evidence of her condition, only familys' testimony and her emails on the family computer showing her state-of-mind. Help anyone? Best answer:
