Question by little laho: How to remove Lis Pendens lien against real properties in California? My wife's attorney has filed the "notice of pending action" also call "Lis Pendens" against my solely own properties because of the divorce peition filed last year. We are now getting back together and decided to withdraw the divorce petition, however, the "Lis Pendens" is still effect and shows on the county clerk office. Does any knows how to "remove" or expunge it? I am in Los Angeles CA. Thanks.-

As a practical matter it's not that important unless you have a pending re-finance; a title examiner will pick up or look for the divorce dismissal. However, one way is to include a notice of dismissal of the Lis Pendens (including the legal descriptions of the properties) with the Notice of dismissal of the divorce petition; sign two originals & file one with the court & record one in the public records where the land is located.
