Question by : Girlfriend is trapped in a relationship with man she is married to and unable to leave!? Here is the deal, I have been dating this woman since May of 08. She wants to divorce, but he does not. Her money he has power of attorney over her. She has 2 boys also. She wants to move on and come and live here, move away from New York. What legal recourse does someone have when a person has power attorney over they're funds? She has bi-polar but is otherwise a very bright and more then capable woman.
